Money IS Important
We know money isn’t everything; but people always holding this adage are usually just as guilty as belittling the value money places in our lives. A six figure income might not be your immediate goal, but money is still needed in order to survive.
Money is a valuable commodity. If you doubt this basic truth, your banker will be more than happy to educate you on this. Why else is everybody making money? It is because cash is the medium by which almost all our daily transactions are done by. If you don’t think money is relevant; it’s time to wake up and smell the $10 cup of coffee.
Now that we have established that money is important and indeed, a useful tool in life; you can now aspire to become rich without the guilt that sometimes come in having more than enough. It is essential that we understand though that money should serve us and not the other way around.
Countless intelligent men and women actively pursuing to reach their career goals and attain financial freedom have forgotten this important principle. Making money in itself is not bad as long as we understand its proper place in our lives. Relationships and personal growth should always come before our career goals.
Another misconception people have towards money is that it is acquired through luck. As if a six figure income just miraculously dropped into Joe Smith’s lap simply because he was standing at the right place at the right time.
Of course at some point, luck figures in everybody’s life; however, this is not the way to gain financial freedom. A gambler or a lottery winner may become rich instantly because of Lady Luck but wholly relying on her will not get you far in life. One has to plan ahead, persevere and expect for the best before lasting financial fruit will manifest.
Always keep in mind that the two ingredients for success are preparation and luck. Easy money that is not coupled with hard work is misleading. If you, however, have purpose and passion in your endeavors– then it is a natural response to work hard, thereby making earning money easy, as well as meaningful.
Money should not be loved, but it can be appreciated for what it brings to you. Respect money by using it wisely and generously- it will soon be drawn to your life.
