Have anybody actually try testing the law of attraction? What do you think about the Universe and AlmightyGod?

In the book the "The Secret", It says that the law of attraction is like attracting whatever you think into your life. So whatever situation you are in now, you attract it into your life because of your pass thoughts. It also says that the Universe is like a genie; it’s like your wish is my command. You got to ask, believe, and receive. It’s similar to the bible. You pray to God and ask for whatever you want and you receive it when you get blessed. So I believe that God is the Universe.

I agree with you 100%.

I don’t believe that you attract something in your life because of passed thoughts. I believe that God answers all prayers, but sometimes the answer is no.

I tested the law of attraction when I was a Wiccan, in high school. Later I converted to Christianity. Finally I realized that all that stuff is a bunch of hogwash. I could give you detailed explanations of why, but I think deep down you already know this is all the grown-up, potentially dangerous version of the story of Santa Claus.

If you want anything in life, you have to be well-endowed by your parents or you have to work for it yourself. Occasionally someone might do you a favor out of habit or expectation of future favors from you, but that’s uncommon. You won’t get far by just waiting for things to just come to you on their own.

I just thought I’d also refute another answer you got, that "god answers prayers with a ‘no’ or ‘wait’ sometimes". First of all, with that kind of definition, god’s "work" is indistinguishable from random chance. People just don’t get what they pray for, unless it was to happen through natural means anyway. Most people pray for things they’d get anyway, like a promotion, or a raise, a husband, etc. You may as well pray to your gym socks if praying to a god won’t get you anything you wouldn’t get on your own.

Furthermore, if this "god" is supposed to know so much, why does anyone need to pray? Is it an ego thing for him? Surely it’s a big waste of time for everyone. And for people who get prayed for, it’s very frustrating. I would much rather people try to actually help me rather than pray for me, because prayer does nothing but make the devout feel better about themselves.

I hope I don’t seem negative about all this. I’m not. I just don’t want you or anyone else to waste another second of your life with these harmful superstitions.

    Peace!

you are correct. God is In-tense. the Present tense. it is a gift.
everything is happening all at once all ways now.
    .the whole within.
be One with the universe and do as you will.

Now whether to depend on god or law of attraction,we

need to realise that God has created certain laws in

this universe..you either work with it or against

    it…examples-law of gravity,law of

    electricity-whether ur religious or non-religious,a

good person or bad person, you can’t escape its

negative consequences by trusting God to protect you

if u misuse these laws knowingly or unknowingly..God

won’t come to our rescue if we knowingly or

unknowingly fall off a building or touch a

    livewire..similarly the ignorance of spiritual

laws, one of which is law of attraction,is what creates

problems in people’s lives, again it doesn’t matter how

good or bad they are…It also explains why bad things

happen to good people at times and why the opposite

    happens….

Also, before I knew anything about this,I used to be

the guy who always happened to be in the wrong place

at the wrong time,no matter hard i tried, something bad

was in store for me from bad luck to attracting all

sorts of wrong people into my life,i even suffered

from panic attacks and social phobia, was socially

awkard…Now things r way better for me,i experience

good luck and life is one of flow,i am socially

confident and happier than ever, have more friends,in

fact i have lost count of the number of good things

and breathtaking coincidences i have attracted into my

life since i learnt about this….i was 17 when i

first started studying it,i was at a point when i was

in a literal hell,i even had thoughts of committing

suicide, when everything else failed including my

strict religious upbringing which only made matters

worse for me, this law is what came to my rescue and i

totally believe in it…i am 23 now and life is going

    great for me now….

Almost every religion tells us that we have been

created in the Image and Likeness of the Creative

Source, that should obviously mean that we have God

potential and power to create our world, that we are

indeed God like and have all the qualites of God.I am not saying we are God,but we are of God.As

God is omnipresent,it must be present within every

individual, hence every individual must be a

    manifestation of that Omnipresent,Omniscient and

    Omnipotent Consciousness…So,its necessary to put

ourselves in harmony with this law to reap its

    benefits,otherwise we suffer its consquences.
