Abraham: THE LAW OF ATTRACTION AND GAY RIGHTS – Esther & Jerry Hicks

Abraham – who is Non-Physical Source Energy as translated by Esther Hicks – responds to a question from a lesbian activist who wants to affect social change in a meaningful “downstream” way. Recorded February 9th, 2008 in San Rafael, California. Esther & Jerry Hicks are the authors of numerous books based on the Teachings of Abraham and their latest book, “Money and The Law of Attraction“, reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. For over 20 years, Esther has translated blocks of thought from “Non-Physical Source Energy” – which she also identifies as her “Inner Being” or “Soul” – and who refer to themselves in the plural as “Abraham” (no relation to the Biblical figure). Esther doesn’t use the word “channeling” to describe her process, but understands if others do. Im glad to hear that lady had the courage to kind of challenge Abraham’s answers in the beginning with more questions. It wasn’t just a simple polite scripted 1 and done Q&A. How many times do we hear the answer to a complexed question and walk away and think, wait a min. what about this, or, but how do I. She let her doubts be heard and becos of that, ev’ry 1 listening got a full answer.

@nagchampafreak Exactly! Took me a few tries to understand this. I’ve always been a fighter for justice, not realizing that all of my fighting was in vain: it was not getting me what I wanted. On the contrary, it only amplified the injustices I saw. Now, I focus only on what I want to see. THAT is my reality now, and in my reality there is no injustice, no fighting. Only love for all people, no matter who they are or how they choose to live their lives. Powerful, liberating stuff!

I am gay, and I this is very freeing for me. I realize that struggling is antiproductive, but I never applied it to the gay experience. Thank you Abraham.

this is a great perspective. its fighting the other side vs allowing. in other words forgetting about the “other side” and focusing on what we want.

ive watched this vid many times over the past year or so and everytime i start it up again i wonder why i ended up agreeing with what Esther Hicks says. the first half of the video seems like bullshit. she is almost saying ‘forget facts’ and ‘daydream all day and pretend that everyhting is ok’. but the last half… wow… her words. and not just words, the energy, the meaning and truth to her ideals just blows me away. anyone with half a brain has already written this in their minds…. but wow.
