I think "The Secret" can work for almost anyone; I like how it encourages people to think more positively about people and things in general. Even if someone doesn't get all of the great things that your friend did at least they'll be better off by thinking positive thoughts. So far for me I've only received the little things that I've been thinking about, like parking spaces in filled lots and short lines at stores.
